Review: Longhorn Steakhouse San Antonio

I have been hearing a lot of good reviews about Longhorn Steakhouse and my girlfriend and I finally give it a try during one of our weekend dates. True enough, we were impressed at how we were welcomed by the staff as we opened the front door. We were walked through our table and the menu was handed to us promptly. Since this is our first time to dine in Longhorn Steakhouse San Antonio, we really don’t know what to order. From what I remember, my sister in law recommended their Outlaw Ribeye and Flo’s Filet, so I decided to give those a try. I gave our order to Lisa, our server for the night, and we were served complimentary bread a few minutes later. The bread was nothing extraordinary. It is your usual white bread, nothing fancy.

I should be honest in saying, that I was not really impressed by the turnaround time of our food. We were given a heads up that the our order will be served in about 20- 30 minutes but ours was served about 40 minutes upon the time we ordered our food. But hey, it is really worth the wait as I took my first bite on my steak I can taste the flavorful meat and it is very tender.  Have you ever tasted steak not cooked right? They are very hard to chew. But steaks at Longhorn Steakhouse San Antonio are really grilled perfectly with the entire luscious flavor coming out. I think the secret is in their marinade and how they grilled their meat. Longhorn always boasted that they serve authentic western grilled food and I think they do have the right to claim that because their steaks are just truly flavorful, tasty and delicious. The meal also comes with a salad that really tastes good too, surprisingly, for something that comes on the side.

When it comes to price, this is one of the more affordable dining places in San Antonio. You cannot say it is overpriced because the food tastes amazing. Whatever you spend here, it is worth it. This is an economical place where you can get your lunch or where you can set a dinner date. You can even arrange your business meetings here.

As for the ambience, you cannot say it is fine dining or a fast food restaurant. It is perfect for casual dining. If you want to share something delicious with your friends and family, this is a great place that you can find good food.

I can say that people at Longhorn Steakhouse San Antonio do know how to grill they steak. I asked my steak to be well done and my girlfriend requested hers to be medium rare. I do not know if we were just lucky, but we have our steaks cooked just like we requested, down to the last detail of it. I never like to see pink in my meat and so I request for a well done steak. I have one experience dining at a different restaurant and got my meat overcooked, no pink in that, but no taste too! After our weekend date at Longhorn Steakhouse San Antonio, I became a regular customer. I never experienced overcooked or pink meat. My steaks are always cooked just the way I like it.

And what is the best thing to go with a good steak? A good drink! It is nice that Longhorn Steakhouse San Antonio have a wide array of drinks that they serve with their delicious steaks. It has a full bar and you can have anything from wine, bottled beer and signature cocktails. Better try one of their margaritas!
